   As we all know, here in the Tri-state Area, the Impreza WRXs and STis are often stolen on a regular basis. We won't go into how they are stolen here as it's a public area nor will we give any specific details on our Staged Security Installs here for obvious reasons. Here is a little history on our Staged Security Installs. Back in 2002 when the WRX debuted, we had a rash of several hundred WRXs being stolen all within a 50 mile radius of Newark/Orange. As they began to get stolen, the crew at AZP decided we needed to come up with a way to combat these stolen Subies. We called on our best resources. Friends who came from all walks of life were consulted. Included in our research were folks in Auto Theft Divisions of Law Enforcement, District Attorney's who prosecuted auto thieves, and finally, reformed car thieves themselves. Through our research we found that the key to securing your car is TIME. The longer it takes a thief to steal your car, the more likely they are to give up and move on to an easier target. Also mentioned was WHO car thieves demographics are, generally lower paid workers who have opportunity and knowledge.  This led to Valets, Dealership Car Handlers, and the very own Car Alarm and Stereo Installers. So we designed our Staged Security Systems around these parameters to help slow down car thieves in hopes that they will give up and move on before actually getting away with your Impreza or Forester.
